MACNAK Korte Team LLC has been awarded a $7.1 million contract for the design and construction of the Air Support Operations Center (ASOC) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The 22,458 square-foot expansion will serve the Air Support Operations Squadron at Fort Campbell and will contain functional areas, including Flight Operations and Flight Simulation Areas.
Additional operations include electrical and communication maintenance areas, equipment storage and support areas. An enclosed storage building and covered parking structure are also included as part of the external functional areas.
When complete, the facilities will maintain mission ready air support operational personnel, communications, vehicles, and mobility equipment capable of providing command and control of close air support.
