Jackie Joyner-Kersee Boys & Girls Club

Jackie Joyner-Kersee’s dream of providing a safe haven for the youth of East St. Louis has become a reality. The Korte Company was selected as the construction manager to fulfill her dream. The first phase of the JJK Boys & Girls Club included the construction of a 40,949 square foot facility. This youth center includes a computer lab, science lab, library, tutoring and study rooms, band room, dance room, weight room, self-defense area, and a gymnasium for basketball and volleyball. Under the auspices of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the JJK Youth Center Foundation will provide programs including athletics, educational employment and cultural enrichment.
