First Baptist Church - Highland

Members of the First Baptist Church were devastated after a fire destroyed their building and nearly 50 years’ worth of history.

However, only sixteen months after the fire, the 250-person congregation resumed its history in a new church with a 300-seat sanctuary, a fellowship hall, ten classrooms, a kitchen and several other support rooms. Korte’s design-build team met frequently with the church’s building committee to keep everyone involved in the decision-making process. By continuously searching for cost-effective construction materials and methods, Korte kept the project within the church’s budget and still incorporated all of the committee’s desired features into the new building.
