Korte was the construction manager for the Hard Rock Café and retail center. It was constructed under the Union Station Pavilion.
The facility includes a kitchen, dining room, stage, state-of-the-art sound system and retail area.
The building foundations presented a unique challenge because they had to be constructed seven feet from the Metro Link tunnel and the bottom of the foundation walls had to be dug 15’ below grade to ensure the tunnel of Metro Link did not collapse.
Korte also was able to make the Owner’s aggressive building completion deadline with crews working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last two weeks.
