Universal Studios - Florida

Korte was one of the five general contractors selected to build the new Universal Studios theme park.

Korte’s project, “The Front Lot”, had seven separate buildings including the Universal Studios Administration Building; the Ticket Plaza Building; a two-story bank/café/photography/ stroller rental building; The Universal Studios Store; Movie Memorabilia; toll booth plaza and kennels. Area development included the main entry plaza, with the “Globe” Fountain and VIP Plaza, and extensive decorative concrete. Prior to contract award, Korte worked with Universal, using value engineering to bring the project into budget.
