Faith Countryside Homes

Faith Countryside Homes is the first assisted living facility located in Highland, Illinois, as well as the first dedicated, state-of-the-art Alzheimer’s unit in the area.

The Korte Company was hired as general contractor to construct a new 72,450 square foot building to replace the original nursing care facility built in the 1960s. Korte worked with the owner and architect to generate approximately $750,000 in cost saving ideas in order to meet budget restraints. The project consisted of a new building with three single-level wings and one multi-level wing just west of the existing nursing care facility. The nursing center, a skilled care facility, replaced the existing 62-bed unit. The Alzheimer/Dementia unit contains 14 sheltered care beds and has a healing garden on the outside – an external wandering area. Thirty-six (36) one-bedroom and studio apartments can be found on the second and third floors in the assisted living area located in the multi-level wing.
