Carlisle Syntec Warehouse

When Carlisle SynTec needed a new warehouse at their existing Greenville, Illinois location, they chose The Korte Company to provide both design and construction services.

The facility is used for bulk warehousing of single-ply roofing materials, but includes a small office/employee area and 36,000 SF of racked storage for flammable materials.

Construction required extensive site preparation, demolition of a pond for storing water for the fire suppression system, and resolving storm water detention for the new and existing structures. The building has a steel structure consisting of tube columns and bar joists with a metal deck. The exterior bearing walls are site cast, tilt-up concrete. There are 18 truck docks complete with dock levelers, dock locks and a canopy over the shipping area.
