Edwardsville Wastewater Treatment Plant
Location
This project consists of major improvements to the City of Edwardsville’s wastewater treatment facilities.
The City elected to use construction management rather than the more traditional design-bid-build approach and selected The Korte Company as the construction manager to develop a budget that would ensure a workable program for the City’s fast-paced project. As the project was designed, it was Korte’s responsibility to maintain the budget. As a result of this process, all bid packages came in under budget. The multi-million dollar expansion includes improvements to the City’s lift station, expansion of the plant, and new gravity sewer lines. This includes construction of a 28-foot steel, glass lined storage tank which is 90-foot wide and 17-feet deep. This project also has a lime stabilization tank and lime aeration system.
