Lear Siegler Manufacturing Facility

The Korte Company is experienced in plant construction. From nailing budgets and timelines to helping owners capture energy-efficiency savings, we deliver projects that help manufacturers improve production.

This is one of the many manufacturing facilities that our seasoned team has designed and built.

Lear Siegler Incorporated was created as a result of the 1961 merger between the Siegler Corporation (Los Angeles) and Lear Avionics Inc. (Santa Monica). John G. Brooks was the founder, president and chairman of Siegler; and William Lear was the founder, president and chairman at Lear. The merger was based on Brooks’ goal of growing Siegler into one of the first conglomerates (with a focus on aerospace markets) and Lear’s goal of divesting his ownership interest in Lear to pursue the development of his Learjet corporate aircraft (the first pure jet private aircraft).

When Lear Siegler needed a new manufacturing facility, they came to The Korte Company with a limited construction budget. Our team met Lear Siegler’s budget with an attractive pre-engineered building. And just as important, we met an extremely tight schedule for design, permit approval and construction — despite a season of contrary weather conditions. Our work allowed Lear Siegler to meet their “just-in-time” auto parts production commitment.

At The Korte Company, we’ve completed more than 2,000 projects nationwide, including work for some of the nation’s biggest manufacturers. See some of our plant construction work or learn more about our plant construction services.
