USPS General Mail Facility – Colorado Springs

At The Korte Company, we deliver on-time, on-budget construction, no matter what.

Our team has completed more than 2,000 builds throughout the U.S. Our experience spans more than 19 million square feet of distribution center construction, and that includes a long list of warehouse expansion jobs too. This is one of many projects we’ve proudly completed for the United States Postal Services (USPS).

The USPS selected The Korte Company as the Design-Build contractor to construct its General Mail Facility Expansion in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This project included a 69,900-square-foot addition to the facility as well as an upgrade to the entire HVAC system.

A compressed timeline and winter construction presented the biggest project challenges, but our team rose to the job. In order to meet this challenge, we provided the USPS with an aggressive design and construction schedule. As a result of this aggressive schedule, precast was on the job site only 12 weeks after the order. In addition, the structure was enclosed in just 16 weeks from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Even with extreme winter weather, we proudly completed the project three months ahead of schedule.

We’ve also built for commercial distributors and some of the nation’s biggest producers. See some of our other warehouse expansion work or learn more about our warehouse construction and expansion services.
