Bowie Army Reserve Center – White Plains, MD

The Korte Company and Joint-Venture partner Sheffield Construction, LLC, were awarded the 600-member Bowie Army Reserve Center (ARC) located near White Plains, Maryland.

The 90,000-square-foot Design-Build project included the design and construction of an ARC training facility (79,795 square feet), Organizational Maintenance Shop (5,703 square feet) and Unheated Storage Building (5,163 square feet).

The 15-acre site consolidates three existing Maryland Army Reserves Centers. Seventeen units in the 99^th Army Reserve Group train at this location, with each unit representing approximately 200 reservists. The ARC is used for Army Reserves training as well as day-to-day activities. Additionally, the facility houses a recruitment and retention office.

The scope of work included site development including site work, utilities and Anti-Rerrorism/Force Protection, as well as other site improvements to support the development.
