Visitor’s Quarters – Scott Air Force Base, IL

The Korte Company delivered a construction contract for a six-story, 284-room Visitor’s Quarters at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The new 170,532-square-foot Scott Inn replaced five outdated facilities, which were demolished and removed.

The 284-room facility includes 267 guest rooms and 17 business suites. The guest rooms include many of the amenities as a hotel room, including a bed, desk, closet, as well as microwave and refrigerator. Business suites, located on the upper floors, are larger and have the additional square footage for an in-room washer and dryer.

The facility also included a fitness area, conference rooms, retail shops, business center, administrative offices, an outdoor patio and on-site laundry.

The project received LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council as well as an ‘Exceptional’ Final CPARS rating from the U.S. Corps of Engineers.

The Scott Inn provides many benefits for the community as well as the personnel at the base. With close proximity to ground transportation, including the Metro Link, guests and inbound personnel can access many areas and sites in the surrounding community such as the James Sports Center, recreational centers, dining facilities and childcare.
