Chancery Building renovation

The Korte Company takes pride in the long-term client relationships that develop over the years. Our connection with the Diocese of Las Vegas began with a single project many years ago and has since become a part of who we are.

So when they decided to renovate the Chancery Building, originally built in 1991, The Korte Company was there to help. The facility houses offices for the Guardian Angel Cathedral as well as the Diocese of Las Vegas, including: Offices of the Bishop, Vicar General, Religious Education, Tribunal, Finance, Administrative and Staff.

Approximately 75% of the two-story building was renovated in three phases. Because the building remained fully occupied and operational during the renovation, construction was carefully planned and mobilized to eliminate any disruptions.

To optimize the functionality of the existing space, interior walls on both levels were reconfigured. The contemporary open office design improves space efficiency and allows for better communication between departments.

A new multi-purpose room was constructed, complete with a new audio system featuring independent A/V capabilities, and the ability to host multiple events simultaneously. Additionally, the existing kitchen was modernized and updated with new appliances.

The scope of work also included the installation of an upgraded HVAC system, including units and ductwork, new access controls for building entrances, new doors, new paint, wall coverings, flooring, ceiling tiles, casework, intercom and fire alarm system.

The entire project was completed on schedule and in time for the Catholic Holy Week.
