USPS Western Nebraska Mail Processing Center – North Platte
This project was the third building awarded to The Korte Company by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) within a twelve-day period.
Like the other two USPS buildings, this project was awarded through a Design-Build competition. It required a 210-day completion schedule.
To meet this demanding schedule, a close working relationship between all members of the design and building team was required. Construction permits were received in phases as drawings were completed.
Site preparation began long before the building and structural drawings were complete. Korte’s ability to manage and direct all efforts of the team members was a crucial factor in this project’s success.
