Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron – Scott Air Force Base

This project consists of a new, 21,500-square-foot, two-story administrative facility for the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Scott Air Force Base. The new facility replaces the Squadron’s existing building.

Our work included complete design and construction, and we delivered all program space, complete with associated site work, utilities, storm drainage, sanitary, potable and fire suppression water, communications, electric, HVAC, lightning protection, fire protection and alarm system, paving, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, access drives, exterior lighting, grading, and physical security requirements.

The exterior of the building is comprised of a brick veneer with precast concrete detailing and steel stud backup. In our design, we incorporated the use of standard brick in a running bond pattern with warm gray precast concrete accents and an architectural standing seam metal roof. This facility lies within the Base Historic District, so we made every effort to seamlessly match the structure’s appearance with the immediate streetscape while following the Base standard design guidelines.

We proudly designed and built the facility to meet U.S. Green Building Council LEED Gold certification and Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection standards.
