Anheuser-Busch draught cooler expansion

With a growing demand for Anheuser-Busch products, the Anheuser-Busch facility in Oklahoma City established a need to expand its cool storage capacity. Shortly after, The Korte Company began the design and construction of a 3,500-square-foot draught cooler addition.

The Design-Build project provided an additional 3,500 square feet of cool storage as well as a number of ancillary improvements to facilitate the most efficient use of their new space. Because the facility was fully operational during construction, specific construction procedures were put in place to ensure minimal interference with the facility’s production. This included the construction of temporary walls to separate the existing workspaces from construction areas.

The scope of work included both demolition and new construction. The existing concrete was removed to accommodate footings for the insulated metal roof and wall panels. High traffic areas, including the interior perimeter, are protected with a reinforced wall protection system. The new space also includes a raised platform foundation and reinforced columns and curbs.

The new draught cooler addition features new refrigeration condensing units and evaporator units, an expanded dry fire suppression system, improved lighting system, high definition security system and fast roll-up doors.
