Armed Forces Reserve Center – Tyler, TX

The Korte Company is honored to build housing facilities for the U.S. Army as well as private companies nationwide.

In this Design-Build project, we delivered a 65,286-square-foot, two-story Armed Forces Reserve Center with integral Heated Storage; a three-bay, 13,199-square-foot Vehicle Maintenance Shop; and a 1,500-square-foot, pre-engineered, metal Unheated Storage building.

The Training Center is a two-story, L-shaped building with Tilt-Up walls and an exterior masonry veneer. It includes an assembly hall, locker rooms, open and private offices and classrooms. The Vehicle Maintenance Shop features a concrete masonry unit and masonry veneer exterior and provides Reserves a library, battery storage space, controlled waste storage space, tools and parts supply storage, classrooms, offices and an adjacent vehicle wash platform.

Our site work includes two detention ponds, landscaping, a private vehicle parking lot and secured heavy equipment parking for the Reserves.

The project has achieved US Green Building Council LEED Gold certification.
