A total of 106,800 SF of Portland cement airfield pavement was placed as a part of this contract. Existing pavement was removed and recycled. To mitigate fracturing of the existing pavement, the pavement was saw-cut in two locations. The new pavement section was 15” of Portland cement concrete over a 10” asphaltic concrete drainage layer over geotextile separator fabric over a 10” lime-stabilized subgrade.
