We define “building smart” as doing the ultimate amount of good for a local and global community. That’s why we’re always honored and proud to have the chance to partner with one of our clients to do a little good and have a little fun.
This past weekend, The Korte Company had the privilege to be a signature sponsor of a trap shoot for a long-time healthcare construction client and friend of The Korte Company – Anderson Hospital Foundation. The healthcare event hosted 125 shooters representing 25 teams, netting $34,000 for Anderson Hospital Foundation. There were more than 15 other companies that helped sponsor the event, either monetarily or with in-kind donations.
“It’s one of the many things I love about this industry,” said Jason Weiss, Client Services Manager at The Korte Company and co-chair of the event. “It’s great to have an event that can get a bunch of guys in steel-toed boots together for a very good cause.”
The event was held Saturday, September 22nd at the Edwardsville Gun Club, the oldest gun club in the United States. And while some shooters hit nothing more than holes in the air, all certainly had a good time.
“At The Korte Company, it’s our philosophy that ‘building smart’ lives well beyond a ribbon-cutting or a grand opening,” said Todd Korte, President and CEO of The Korte Company. “Not only was it an honor to be a sponsor, it was also great to be in attendance. I had a great time.”
