The Korte Company – a construction company specializing in design-build, construction management and construction services – was recently awarded the NVCI at UMC (University Medical Center) Design-Build project through a competitive bid solicitation. TKC Design P.C. will provide architectural design services for the project, which includes 2,500 square feet of new construction and will incorporate a linear accelerator and a CT Scan Room.
An additional 10,000 square feet of tenant improvements will be made to existing UMC space and will include upgrades to the Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy Infusion Departments.
The $2.6 million design-build project was funded through a grant from the Lincy Foundation and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2010. According to Greg Korte, President of The Korte Company’s Las Vegas Division, “We are very excited to be working with our partners at NVCI on another project that has such a substantial and positive impact in the advancement of cancer treatment.”
