The Korte Company is helping keep local children’s programming on television by signing on as a sponsor for “Bob the Builder” on KLVX-TV. The financial support comes at an opportune time as the House of Representatives’ Appropriations Committee cuts funding for public television (PBS) and children’s programs.
“The recent cuts to public broadcasting could mean the end of programs like Bob the Builder and Sesame Street,” said Greg Korte, president of The Korte Company’s Las Vegas Division. “We feel there is no better investment in the community than to support these vital children’s shows. Additionally, we have had great success in our St. Louis office with their local public television programming and view this opportunity as a great way to promote the industry to our future builders.”
