The Korte Company began in 1958 with not much more than three people, a truck and a saw. Our founder, Ralph Korte, is a self-made military veteran who got hooked on education while serving in Korea. Though he never finished high school, he took and passed the GED and finished a college degree part-time, at night — while running a construction company by day. We’ve built our company on a foundation of building smart. And that tradition reaches as far back as our founder’s dedication to attaining a college degree.
