School’s Out: That means it’s Intern Season here at The Korte Company

That’s right, school’s out and we have a fresh batch of interns walking the halls. And they still have that new intern smell. We’re all looking forward to breaking them in and showing them what it means to build smart.

So here they are, the Class of 2013 Summer Interns:

Eric Dina: Preconstruction Intern
Eric calls Chicago his home. But who knows, he might just be a Cardinals fan by the end of summer. He works in the preconstruction department with Brian Marks.  He is a currently a student at University of Illinois studying Civil Engineering with a primary area of study in Construction Management. Once he graduates, Eric wants to work in the industry as a Project Manager.

Mike VanDeVeer: Project Engineer Intern
Mike is a student at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville studying Construction Management. He’s also a part of our U.S. Armed Forces as a member in the Illinois Air National Guard. He’s working in our St. Louis office. And when he gets out of school, Mike wants to pursue a project management or preconstruction position.

Elliot Smith: Project Engineer Intern

Elliot Smith is a senior at the University of Illinois and will be graduating this December with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a primary focus in Construction Management as well as a secondary focus in Structural Engineering. After graduation, Elliot plans to pursue a career in Project Management. This summer, he’ll be working within the Project Management department.
