TKC Begins $1.4 Million Renovation for The Diocese of Las Vegas

The Korte Company will begin renovating the Chancery Building, which was originally built in 1991 as part of the Diocese of Las Vegas’ campus. The facility currently houses offices for the Guardian Angel Cathedral as well as Diocese of Las Vegas, including offices of the Bishop, Vicar General, Religious Education, Tribunal, Finance, Administrative offices and Staff.

LGA Architects Inc. is the architect on the project. Approximately 75 percent of the building’s interior will be renovated, including Anderson Hall, located on the first floor, and the adjacent kitchen. Second floor renovations include the removal of the flooring system, which will be replaced with a more advanced, stronger material. Plans call for a more contemporary, open office space and an open floor plan, allowing for better use and communication between departments.

All finishes will be upgraded with current finishes and a palate consisting of earth tones and natural stone. A new audio system will be installed, with independent A/V capabilities, and the ability to host multiple events simultaneously.

Completion date is scheduled for March of 2016, in time for the Catholic Holy week.
