TKC is Recognized by Consteel for Building of the Year Award

At its biennial conference, held April 29 – May 1, in Kansas City, Mo., CON/STEEL Tilt-Up Systems recognized significant people and projects within its design-build tilt-up network.

Attendees at the conference culmination banquet voted to honor the following Building of the Year award winners from a group of 11 finalists.

St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, which won the Architectural Appeal category, is a 29,000-square-foot religious facility providing classical reverent space, while showcasing an innovative application of the tilt-up method. The project, constructed by The Korte Company, features a large entry portal, designed to accommodate large liturgical processions, and 13-foot tall, unique mahogany doors. This project includes 81 tilt-up wall panels and no two panels are the same.

“We are certainly proud of the St. Clare church project, and receiving an award from the industry is an honor we can all share,” according to Todd Korte, president and CEO of The Korte Company.
