Since our first project with Anderson Hospital in 1988, The Korte Company has partnered with the Maryville, Illinois-based caregiver to help them provide the highest quality of advanced medical care.
Anderson Hospital planned to expand the scope of its urgent care capabilities to the nearby community of Troy, Illinois. The Korte Company provided a Design-Build solution and delivered the Anderson ExpressCare Center, the fifth urgent care facility the hospital established to date.
The site of the 7,135-square-foot urgent care facility was previously occupied by multiple buildings which were first demolished, abated and removed prior to an extensive regrading of the site. Sitework included asphalt pavement for 33 vehicles, landscaping and the design and implementation of a stormwater management system.
The facility features urgent care treatment rooms, clinical workspace, procedure and exam rooms. Technical services such as radiology and laboratory services are provided in the facility for the convenience of its patients. The design also includes a physician’s suite with shared reception and waiting areas as well as nurse stations, laboratory space, procedure rooms, exam rooms, administrative space and reception areas.
To help facilitate urgent care functions, the facility includes basic support services, such as record charting and provider and clinician offices. In addition to primary care functions, the facility houses a satellite lab to handle basic blood draw functions to support the in-house lab testing service.
