The Warren Billhartz Cancer Center at Anderson Hospital brings gifted physicians, dedicated staff and healing care together in a single, comfortable and convenient location, making it possible for patients to receive the best possible care while staying close to home.
When the doctors at Anderson Hospital needed to expand the treatment facility’s capabilities, they again called on The Korte Company to deliver best-value construction and get the job done.
The 20,391-square-foot addition is located on the hospital campus, just east of the main complex. The facility contains a pharmacy, radiation storage, a Linear Accelerator therapy vault, stereo tactics, waiting areas, break rooms, exam rooms, offices and restrooms.
The therapy vault consists of a two-foot-thick concrete ceiling and walls and a neutron-shielding swing door for radiation procedures. It houses state-of-the-art equipment that provides pinpoint accuracy used to treat cancer patients. The rest of the facility includes a chemotherapy suite, a CT Scan area, exam rooms, a doctor’s office, a nurse’s station and a waiting room.
