Whether it’s playing catch with the old man or going to a ballgame with friends, quality recreation gives us moments we can remember for the rest of our lives. In this Design-Build, we proudly contributed to those moments through best-value design and smart construction.
The Department of Army’s, Morale, Welfare and Recreation department chose The Korte Company as the Design-Build contractor to deliver its sports complex at Fort Hood near Killeen, Texas. Designed to host tournament-level competitions, the complex includes four softball fields that surround a two-story, 1,840-square-foot concession stand and field house. Other areas of the complex include open-air pavilions, bleacher seating for 600 spectators per field, a complete irrigation system, parking for 175 cars, general lighting, asphalt paving for walkways and a running track that surrounds the ball diamonds.
