The Carbondale City Hall and Civic Center replaces the antiquated city hall building with multifunctional space for offices, meetings, conventions and other events. We designed the building’s exterior to reflect the standards for proportion, scale and materials found in the neighboring downtown buildings.
We finished the basement and two stories of the Civic Center spaces that contain council chambers, courtrooms, multipurpose rooms, offices and a catering kitchen. We designed the fourth story, an unfinished attic, to be converted to office space as needed.
