When Carlisle Construction Materials needed a new warehouse constructed at the existing Greenville, Illinois location, they chose The Korte Company to provide both warehouse design and construction services.
The facility is used for bulk warehousing of single-ply roofing materials but also includes a small office and employee area and 36,000 square feet of racked storage for flammable materials.
Construction required extensive site preparation, demolition of a pond for storing water for the fire suppression system and resolving stormwater detention for the new and existing structures. The building has a steel structure consisting of tube columns and bar joists with a metal deck. The exterior bearing walls are Tilt-Up concrete cast on site. There are 18 truck docks complete with dock levelers, dock locks and a canopy over the shipping area.
