The Korte Company team used decades of Design-Build construction experience and expertise to build the Coronado Medical Center. We delivered a two-story, 40,000-square-foot medical office building with a two-story, precast concrete parking structure.
The Coronado Medical Building has a raised, curved roof, covered with a standing seam roof that’s copper penny in color. A high, clerestory window sits over the lobby atrium with clear frames that have green-tinted reflective glass. The two-level parking garage can accommodate 162 vehicles, which enabled our client to maximize the building size based on the increased medical parking demands, and is made of precast columns and spandrel panels. In the exterior of the garage, we provided painted concrete panels, glass block windows and a stone veneer.
The first-floor design includes an outpatient surgical center, fitness and therapy gym, and sports peak-performance training center. And the second-floor orthopedics treatment center is equipped with exam rooms, as well as x-ray, MRI and diagnostic equipment. Additional medical suites house other specialty medical practices.
One of the focal points is the main lobby, which features a two-story atrium, a balcony, and an impressive fountain water feature. The exterior design complies with all architectural review guidelines of the city of Henderson, incorporating several different materials — including stone veneer and sloped and curved metal roofs. Specially-designed, sports motif medallions adorn both the building and garage, giving the Crovetti Building a unique look fitting of its personality.
