We’ve delivered more than 19 million square feet of distribution center space, and this is some of our best distribution construction work.
Lanter Company, a nationwide warehouse and shipping firm, awarded The Korte Company a contract to design and construct its new 405,000-square-foot distribution center, located at the Gateway Commerce Center Park in Granite City, Illinois.
Scotts-Ortho, a well-known fertilizer and chemical company, occupies about two-thirds of the new warehouse. Because of the type of materials stored in this space, we had to ensure that proper ventilation requirements were met to avoid contamination of the remaining areas.
Dr. Pepper/7-Up, Inc. occupies the remainder of the space. This facility is used to store and distribute raw material and concentrate used to make Dr. Pepper and 7-Up products. This area required the installation of 12,200 square feet of high-hazard storage as well as a 14,500-square-foot drive-in cooler.
We constructed the exterior of the building using Tilt-Up concrete walls with horizontal and vertical stacked panels at the corners to give it architectural appeal.
We’ve completed more than 2,000 projects nationwide and have delivered more than 19 million square feet of distribution space. Learn more about distribution construction services at The Korte Company.
