The Korte Company is proud to partner with Hillsboro Health on a new Therapy Services Building—an investment in the future of rural healthcare. The project officially broke ground on April 29, 2025, drawing over 100 attendees including local officials, board members, hospital staff, and representatives from State Senator McClure’s office.
Located next to the Hillsboro Health Fitness and Aquatics Center, the 7,000-square-foot facility will consolidate speech, physical, and occupational therapy into one centralized space—expanding capacity and improving access to care close to home.
“This is the first step into our future,” said Hillsboro Health CEO Mike Alexander. “We have over 100 years of taking care of patients and people in this community.” He noted the hospital’s upcoming 50th anniversary at its current location and recent rebranding to Hillsboro Health to reflect its forward focus.
Jack Evans, Hillsboro Health Systems Board President, added, “The medical profession is changing and hospitals have to make changes in order to continue. This is one of the first changes.” Vice President Earl Flack called the expansion a great opportunity, saying, “You should all be proud.”
The $3.5 million facility is part of a larger plan. As Alexander shared, “This is quite an investment into our future… We want to continue to grow and continue to be a vital part of this community.”
