Parkview Memorial Hospital in Wheeler Texas is a 14-Bed Critical Access Hospital with a small assisted living unit attached.  Originally constructed in 1964 and remodeled in 1984 this hospital has been serving the community and its residents as the primary healthcare facility.

Today, The Korte Company is undertaking a comprehensive renovation project of the existing facility which includes a new 6-Station Emergency Department and new Physical Therapy/Rehab Services Department.

A new 8-bed assisted living unit, new lobby, reception area, hospital entrance and outpatient area are also included in the scope of work. Modifications will include an extensive renovation of the existing acute and skilled nursing patient care areas, an expanded sprinkler system, finish upgrades throughout the facility, as well as a new roof. New imaging equipment, including a CT and Bone Density Monitor will also be incorporated into the design.

When completed in 2017, improvements will include a sophisticated, state-of-the-art nurse call and patient emergency response system, hospital-wide telemetry and patient monitoring, new patient beds, and an aquatic rehabilitation pool with a treadmill.
