At The Korte Company, we’ve delivered a wide range of design and construction work, including sports complex design and construction projects. We’re nationally recognized as one of the most innovative leaders in Design-Build construction. And we’ve built sports complexes that provide a memorable experience. This is one of our sports construction builds.
Through our work, we provided Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), a major public university, a strong asset to improve student life. And it provides students top-tier athletic amenities.
As Student President Carol Moore put it, the Student Fitness Center at SIUE provides students “the means for developing a healthy lifestyle and maintaining personal wellness throughout one’s life.”
The facility is the university’s first permanent structure for recreational and physical fitness activities. It provides about 54,000 square feet of indoor recreational space, including four multipurpose courts, a 200-meter elevated jogging track, weight training center, aerobics room and student lounge.
We’re humbled to contribute to SIUE because it’s an important educational institution that makes a big difference in our region. After all, it’s where our founder, Ralph Korte, got his degree.
And we delivered a world-class stadium construction project at SIUE that the school named after him.
