The Korte Company was awarded a contract to deliver the Design-Build construction of the Special Operations Forces Battalion Operations Center, Phase 5. This facility consolidates battalion and company administrative and command operations.
The 119,883-square-foot building includes administration, special function and classroom components, and site amenities, such as vehicle service yards, access drives and exterior utilities. We established the exterior architectural features of the building in accordance with the existing theme. The end result is a functional, durable and visually appealing facility that serves as a source of pride for Fort Campbell. The main entry point is a prominent feature that anchors the design and provides a strong visual focal point.
The building interior provides elements that meet both aesthetic and functional purposes. These elements are conducive to the facility environment and include windows to provide natural light and ventilation in all office areas where feasible. We selected interior finishes and materials that use a neutral color scheme to provide a comfortable ambiance.
Our team made a special effort to design a facility that is professional in appearance, comfortable and functional for the occupants. The interior spaces consist of office and administrative spaces, training areas, conference spaces, storage and other support elements. An abundance of natural light shines through wherever possible in order to achieve bright and positive spaces. For ease of maintenance, electrical, mechanical and telecom rooms sit centrally in the buildings.
