The Korte Company worked with The Howard Hughes Corporation and the Village of Summerlin to construct and shape one of the master-planned community’s premiere outdoor recreation areas.
Developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation, Summerlin ranks in the country’s top 10 best-selling master-planned communities and encompasses 22,500 acres.
The community is currently home to nearly 100,000 residents with amenities that include more than 150 completed miles of trails, 26 public and private schools, 14 houses of worship, ten golf courses, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, and numerous business parks.
The park, which is adjacent to the neighboring Wet ‘n Wild Park, covers 8.1 acres and features a playground, picnic facilities, walking and jogging path and an open grass area for play.
The three-phase project also included restroom facilities, a 1,600-square-foot picnic facility as well as two additional 400-square-foot facilities. The park also features two playgrounds with tot turf and fabric shade covers. Landscaping and hardscapes were also included in the scope of work.
