The Korte Company was selected by the USPS to deliver the Design-Build construction of an addition to the processing and distribution center facility in Houston, Texas. The 713,000 square feet renovation and 319,000 square feet expansion consisted of site development and the remodeling and addition of office spaces, workroom floors, dock areas, a business mail entry area and parking areas.
The USPS Processing and Distribution Center, located at 4600 Aldine Bender Road in Houston, marks the 42nd project The Korte Company has delivered for the USPS.
The expansion adds approximately 319,000 square feet to the existing building through the construction of load-bearing, Tilt-Up concrete, exterior wall panels that we cast on site. These design enhancements provided a more open floor plan and an additional level of flexibility to accommodate future needs.
