The Korte Company has proudly built more than 19 million square feet of distribution center and warehouse space for producers and distributors throughout the U.S. This is one of 40 warehouse construction projects we’ve completed for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).
We were selected as the Design-Build contractor to construct this 450,000-square-foot facility located in Greensboro, North Carolina. This mail processing and distribution center contains a workroom, offices, administrative areas and mechanical mezzanines.
This building is an example of the USPS’ new design prototype for its processing and distribution centers — a steel structure with a split-faced block exterior and a prefabricated metal panel border along the top of the building.
We provided the USPS with an aggressive design and construction schedule. A complicated site and extreme winter weather with 14 inches of snowfall provided many challenges throughout the process. But we still completed the project two months ahead of schedule.
Our experienced team delivers on-budget and on-time, every time. Learn more about warehouse construction at The Korte Company.
