The Walgreen Company chose The Korte Company for the design and construction of its new distribution center in Perrysburg, Ohio. With our team providing a single source for Design-Build services, we helped Walgreens slash project costs on the four-component, 687,000-square-foot facility. The distribution center operates as a closed campus, protecting, tracking and storing more than $200 million in product inventory.
Our design team used an integrated architectural and site plan to reinforce the high-security facilities for the pharmaceutical handling systems. The team carefully configured parking lot setbacks, vehicle barriers, office spaces and employee lunch areas to maximize site security.
