Ribbon cutting celebrated at Scott Air Force Base lodge

A ribbon cutting ceremony at Scott Air Force Base in southwestern Illinois marked the opening of Scott Inn, a 284-room lodging facility for Airmen, their families and other personnel.

The six-story, 170,000-square-foot facility contains 276 guest rooms and 17 business suites. The guest rooms are much like typical hotel rooms, complete with beds, desks, closets, refrigerators and microwaves. The larger business suites feature the same amenities, plus an in-room washer and dryer.

Common spaces include a fitness area, on-site laundry, conference rooms, retail shops, a business center, administrative space and an outdoor patio.

The Korte Company and the Air Force are both committed to building green, and Scott Inn is no exception. It’s designated as a USGBC LEED Silver facility.

Scott Inn is strategically located near integral sites on-base, including dining, childcare and recreation facilities. In addition, it’s just a few steps away from a stop on the MetroLink light rail system, connecting Scott AFB with the rest of the St. Louis, MO / IL metro.

We’ve delivered hundreds of projects for the Department of Defense, pouring into each one the most innovative solutions and our passion for quality work. Our men and women in uniform deserve nothing less.
