• When I first started at The Korte Company, it was a little intimidating. You go through your week orientation, and you kind of hit the ground running, and they leave it to you to fly. There’s always a support system when you need it. You’ve got people you can call in the office and they’ll help walk you through whatever scenario you’re in. But the best way to learn is to dig your heels in and try to do it yourself first.

  • Korte has allowed me to learn a lot of different skills and helped my confidence in what I can bring to the field. My favorite part about coming to work is seeing a plan come to life and working with my hands. The people at Korte just want to help you succeed. Most other companies treat you as easily replaceable, even if you do your job well, while Korte recognizes your unique skills and invests in you to help you grow.

  • Korte has given me the opportunity to advance my career as fast as I could. I have become a PM earlier in my career than I would have believed when I first started. My favorite part of coming to work is being able to see the progress of construction. Coming to work and being able to see project progress gives me that sense of accomplishment. I appreciate being able to build buildings that make a difference in the community.

  • The first day was great. I was very nervous, because I made a big switch from architecture to construction. But the people were so welcoming. Korte took the chance on me. Supporting me and giving me the opportunity to make the switch to the construction side was huge. I started out as a PE and now I’ve worked my way up to a PM, so that’s just awesome.

  • Korte has given me the opportunity to go around the nation. I’ve been everywhere. I’ve seen California, Arizona. It’s always a different type of work. I’m young, so there’s something for me to learn every day. You feel you’re doing something good, especially when it’s something like working for the VA or being on Army and Air Force bases. It provides a sense of community, freedom and patriotism.
