A battery from algae – that’s build smart

Recently came across a great feature in a recent issue of Fast Company. It was about innovation in the battery world. There were several smart thinkers profiled, many of which we’ll be Tumbling about in the coming weeks.

First up – Maria Stromme and her lithium-ion battery using algae. Maria is a professor of Nanotechnology at Upsalla University in Upsalla, Sweden and was on the research team that developed an algae-using battery that has been concepted to be as strong as a lithium-ion battery.

Read Maria’s thoughts on the innovative thinking here. Great stuff as always from Fast Company.

It’s thinking like this that is going to power us into the future. It’s good to know there are such great minds on this planet of ours.

Have a great weekend everyone. Do some good. Build smart.
