Good Jobs First Recognizes Korte and Metro Link

Parson’s Place, a three-phased residential development designed and built by The Korte Company, was recently recognized by Good Jobs First, the nation’s leading resource center for economic development subsidies and the promotion of smart growth policies that enhance the well-being of working families.

Parson’s Place is a three-part residential development project that broke ground near the entrance of the Emerson Park MetroLink Station. Phase I of the project consists of 174 affordable townhouse-style rental units. Phase II of the Parson’s Place Development, completed in 2005, consists of 102 additional rental units, and the third portion of the project is now under construction. Once complete, the third project will consist of a 150-unit for-sale development in the Emerson Park neighborhood.

The extension of MetroLink further into Illinois and the building of Parson’s Place has sparked other retail and office development including another Korte project, the multi-million dollar Jackie Joyner-Kersee Boys and Girls Club.
