The Korte Company, a Design-Build construction company headquartered in St Louis, Missouri, in partnership with Charpie Construction, Inc, located in Chicago, Illinois has been awarded a project for the United States Navy’s Engineering Command. The facility is a Marine Corps Reserve Center, located in Joliet, Illinois.
The 26,134 square-foot, $7.3 million center will consist of an 18,000 SF Marine Reserve Training Center (RTC), a 2,500 SF equipment storage area, 3,600 SF parachute facility and a 2,000 SF diving equipment locker. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011.
