The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Chemical and Biological Warfare Detection Facility is an excellent example of Design-Build.
This facility is used for the overhaul, repair and engineering support of chemical and biological warfare detection devices used aboard U.S. Navy surface ships.
One of the unique features is the floor space that we configured to receive, temporarily stage, inspect, disassemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, refurbish, retest, and ship entire detection systems and components.
We designed the facility to enhance productivity by providing a safe, efficient working environment. The construction method was the most economically feasible method while satisfying existing space requirements.
