The Design-Build program presented by The Korte Company made it possible for St. Lawrence Church to realize more value for their budget.
The newly discovered efficiencies and value engineering opportunities enabled the congregation to design and construct a new worship center, which was an optimal solution over the original plan to renovate to meet ADA requirements.
The semi-circle seating arrangement for 350 people and the sloping floor of the sanctuary provides excellent site lines and focuses the attention of worshipers towards the elevated chancel.
The interior design enhances the liturgical activity with the use of laminated wood arches and clerestory lighting. An activity center adjoining the church has a multi-purpose room and includes office space, storage areas and restrooms.
