The Howard Hughes Corporation selected The Korte Company to construct the Summerlin Vistas South Tower Park for the Summerlin community.
The park includes over 4 acres of recreational area and serves as the gateway to the southern entrance of the upscale Summerlin Vistas community. It provides residents with two shaded children’s playground areas, several shaded picnic areas, a children’s “splash pad” water feature and a 909-square-foot restroom facility.
To optimize the best use of green space and integrate pedestrian traffic throughout the master plan, landscape architect Michael Corcoran Architects created a design framework that blended the scale and character of the park and its surroundings to accentuate the open spaces while distinguishing buffer areas between landscape and hardscape areas.
