The Korte Company worked closely with Knapheide, our long-time client since the mid-90s to revitalize an existing facility in McHenry, Illinois. Our primary goal was to modernize the space while aligning with Knapheide’s brand identity. This involved expanding the truck equipment service center, updating interior and exterior finishes and enlarging the storage lot.
The scope of work included renovating the interior spaces, with showroom, office, restroom and break room updates. We added extra truck bays by replacing sections of the existing building. Upgrades encompassed fire sprinklers, new overhead doors, advanced lighting, and welding stations for each bay. Five cranes were introduced for efficient truck servicing, and their installation required ground improvement through Rigid Inclusion Piers and Helical Piles.
Site enhancements included lighting in the storage lot, security fencing, a new fire hydrant, and water service replacement. This project reflects The Korte Company’s commitment to excellence, innovation and a future where form and function seamlessly coexist.
